NET has been in existence since 1996.  The grant funding that supported this effort was discontinued in 2005. In 2006, grant funding was obtained for overtime and equipment.

NET was 75% funded through a federal grant administered by the Governors Alliance on Substance Abuse. The other 25% is funded through each task force’s member agency.
