Compensation for damages involving fences on property acquired by easement for public highway purposes will be paid as follows:
Fence payments are based on a typical 80 rods with each H-Brace being paid for separately.
1. No payment will be made for fence where there is no existing fence.
2. Removal of existing fence by owner = $5/rod.
3. Payment for removal will be made after fence has been removed.
4. Woven Wire: 47" woven wire with 1 strand of barbed wire = $32/rod, H-Brace = $68/each
5. Barbed Wire: Minimum of 4 strands of barbed wire = $22/rod, H-Brace = $68/each
6. Hi-Tensile: Minimum of 7 strands of wire = $23/rod, Double End Brace = $85/each
7. Payment for new fence will be made after installation of the fence.
9. New fence must be built within two years of completion of roadway construction to be eligible for payment.
