David is originally from Oregon and moved to Iowa to attend the University of Iowa where he graduated in 1999 with a BS in Civil and Environmental Engineering. David has worked for Washington County since 1999 and became the County Engineer in 2005. He is responsible for overseeing the engineering, budgeting, maintenance and new construction of the secondary roads in Washington County. David recently moved to Kalona and enjoys traveling, helping out at his church, and participating with the noon Kiwanis in Washington. |

Lyle received his Engineering Technician degree from Iowa State University and began his career at Washington County in 1969. His responsibilities include project planning and administration and with more than 35 years of experience and history with Washington County, he is a wealth of information. Lyle and his wife live in Washington and are involved in numerous community enrichment groups and activities. They enjoy hiking, canoeing, and traveling and Lyle is an excellent photographer. |

Jake began his career with Washington County in 2002 as a Summer Intern. Upon his graduation from Iowa State University with a BS in Construction Engineering in December 2004, he was hired as Assistant Engineer. Jake is responsible for managing, engineering, and inspecting construction projects. Born and raised in the West Chester area, Jake is recently married and helps out on the family farm in his spare time. |

Jacob was hired by Washington County in 2005 after graduating with an MS in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University. Originally from Indianola, Jacob is responsible for managing, engineering, and inspecting construction projects. Jacob enjoys fly fishing, camping, and hot air ballooning. |

Jeremy came to Washington County in 2002 with several years of surveying experience with the Iowa Department of Transportation. He recently completed his Engineering Technician degree through Southeastern Community College. His responsibilities include surveying, inspection, and GIS maintenance. He is married with two small children, Molly and John, and they live in Wayland. Jeremy's interests include hunting and fishing and NASCAR racing. |

Julie started in the Engineers Office in 1998. She has a BS from Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. Originally from Wayland, she and her husband live north of Washington with their two small children, Jenna and Landon. Julie enjoys spending time with her family, church activities, and vacationing at the Lake of the Ozarks. |
