Brighton Boat Access

The Brighton Boat Access is owned by the Department Of Natural Resources, and was acquired and constructed in 1988.  The WCCB leases this access for purposes of maintaining it for our public, said lease to expire in 2011.

The Brighton Boat Access is open to public hunting.  Food plots were attempted in the area west of the actual ramp in approximately 1988.  These were accomplished and extremely successful from a wildlife perspective (lots of pheasants, a few deer & turkeys).  However, willows have since invaded the site to the extent that they are no longer possible.

The Washington County Conservation Board management of the area has been to clean the ramp and latrines as possible and needed, and to add a small amount of rock when required for maintenance.
